By using this site and/or placing an order for products from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. 

The Terms & Conditions may be updated or modified. Please check this page regularly in the event of changes made to our Terms & Conditions. 

 

ORDERING

  1. Online orders (website) - Your order is confirmed once full payment has been made. A confirmation email will be sent to you after an order is placed successfully. There will not be further confirmations from us. If you have not received a confirmation, it may mean that your order did not go through. Please whatsapp us immediately at 8308 0306 if this happens. 
  2. Email orders - Your order is confirmed once full payment has been made according to the invoice sent. Your order will be based on the details included in the invoice (not in the email thread or discussion through any other forms of communication).
  3. Orders place in store - Your order is confirmed once full payment has been made. The order will be based on the details included in the receipt issued. 
  4. Slots are available on a first come first served basis depending on when the payment has been made. 
  5. Slots are only reserved after payment is received. 
  6. In the event that all the slots have been taken up after payment has been made, a refund will be raised based on your mode of payment. 
  7.  Full payment is required for all orders before we can secure a slot for you. 
  8. In the event that all our slots are fully booked in the midst of a discussion, we reserve the right to turn the order down.
  9. We reserve the right to accept or reject any order(s).

 

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

  1. For order cancellations made at least 7 days in advance, store credits will be issued for the full value of your payment, to be utlized within 6 months OR a 90% cash refund will be raised. 
  2. For order cancellations made less than 7 days in advance,  if we are able to cancel your order, store credits will be issued, to be utilized within 6 months. If we are unable to cancel your order as prepartions have started, 70% of the amount paid of store credits will be issued to you, to be utilized within 6 months
  3.  We reserve the right to reject any cancellation requests if we are notified less than 7 days in advance.

 

POSTPONEMENT OF ORDERS

  1. Requests to postpone orders must be made at least 7 days in advance.
  2. We reserve the right to reject any postponment requests if we are notified less than 7 days in advance.

 

LEAD TIME

  • Standard Cakes: 3 days 
  • Customised Cakes: 1-2 weeks
  • Mini Desserts: 1 week 
  • Gift Boxes: 1-2 weeks 
  • Dessert Platters: 3 days 
  • Brownie Towers: 3 days
  • Cookies: 3-5 days
  • Urgent orders may be accepted at the discretion of Bloomsbury Bakers. 
  • Flavours and designs are subjected to availability at the time of order.
  • We reserve the right to accept or reject any order(s).  
  • Cancellations will be subjected to a non refundable trasaction fee.

 

ORDER ADD-ONS

  1. Messages piped on cakes, cake board or on chocolate discs are not charged. The colour of the text will be decided by us. 
  2. Messages will either be piped on the cake itself, on the cake board (below) or on chocolate discs. 

 

CAKE DESIGN

  1. All of the cake decoration is based on availability and seasonality and can be changed without prior notice or informing the customer.
  2. Colours on the final product may deviate slightly from image on our website and social media as different devices have different colour resolutions.
  3. Cakes with fresh florals/foliage/fruits: we will not be able to guarantee the exact type, colour and size of fresh flowers/foliage/fruits as this is dependent on the season. All images shared during the course of placing your order are for reference only. 
  4. Fresh flowers are not edible.
  5. We will not be able to guarentee an exact replica of a cake design as everything is handmade. 
  6. Changes may be made to your cake design at our cake decorators' discretion for practical (e.g. stability) and aesthetic reasons. 

 

SERVING GUIDE

  1. Our serving guide are based on our estimation and recommendation. This may not apply to everyone. Please place your order based on your understanding of your guests (e.g. are they big eaters etc)
  2. Measurements stated on our website may vary slightly. 

 

CAKE CARE

  1. Fresh cream/mousse/cheese cakes: Best eaten chilled, refrigerate immediately till just before consumption. Store in the fridge for up to 2 days. 
  2. Buttercream cakes: Best eaten at room temperature, can be left in a cold air-conditioned room for 2-3 hours, depending on how cool the room is. If it has been refrigerated, take it out from the fridge at least 1-2 hours and let it come to room temperature before consumption to ensure that the cake and buttercream are soft. Buttercream cakes will be hard when they are cold as the cake and buttercream contains butter, which will harden when chilled. Store in the fridge for up to 2 days. 
  3. Cakes with fondant decoration: Best eaten at room temperature, can be left in a cold air-conditioned room for 2-3 hours, depending on how cool the room is. Fondant decoration should not be kept in the fridge overnight as they will become sticky after it is removed from the fridge due to the humidity.
  4. All of our cakes are delivered cold. If you have ordered a buttercream cake, please let it come up to room temperature before cutting it. 
  5. Our customised cakes do not come with plastic bags. They are securely tied with a ribbon. Please support the base of the cake box and not push the sides of the box inwards. 
  6. Our customised cakes are usually tall with decoration on top of the cake. Please refrain from swinging the cake box when carrying it. Please also drive slowly and avoid speeding over humps, sharp turns, and abrupt braking. 
  7. Each customised cake comes with 1 tall metallic candle. Additional candles have to be purchased. 
  8. Standard candles and a plastic cake know will be provided upon request. Each cake is limited to a maximum of 1 plastic knife. 
  9. Ice packs can be purchased (dependent on availability).

 

MINI DESSERTS CARE

  1. Brownies: Best eaten at room temperature or warmed up. Can sit in an air conditioned room for up to 5 hours. Please store it in the fridge overnight. Store in the fridge for up to 2 days. 
  2. Tartlets: Some tartlets are best eaten chilled while others at room temperature. Please refer to the individual products for the specific consumption instructions. Store in the fridge for up to 2 days. 
  3. Cookies: Best eaten at room temperature. Store away from direct sunlight. Please consume within 3 weeks from purchase. 
  4. Browned Butter Cookies: Best eaten warm. Store in the fridge for up to 2 days. 

 

SELF COLLECTION:

  1. Store location: 30 Bendemeer Road #01-889 S330030.
  2. Opening hours: 11am-630pm (Tue-Fri), 11am-6pm (Sat & Sun), Closed on Mondays. 
  3. Cakes that are not collected by our closing time will be kept for collection the next working day. 
  4. Cakes that are not collected within 24 hours from the specified date and time will be discarded. No refunds will be made. 
  5. Late collection: In the event that one of our staff can wait for you past our opening hours, a strict $10 surcharge per every 10min block will apply. 
  6. Please check the cake upon collection to make sure that everything is correct (flavour, size, message, add ons, candles, knives, toppers etc). 
  7. We will not be liable to any damages after the cake has been collected and taken away from our premises.
  8. The person(s) collecting the cake is wholly responsible for checking and making sure that the order is correct and in good condition. 
  9. Any concerns with regards to the cake must be raised at the point of collection. 
  10. Subsequent disputes regarding the cake will not be entertained. 

 

DELIVERY

  1. A two hour delivery window is required. This is to take into account the traffic and our driver’s delivery schedule. Slots are on a first come first serve basis.
  2. The recipient’s name and contact number will be required if the person that ordered will not be the one at the venue receiving the item.
  3. The recipient is responsible to check the condition of the cake and whether it matches the information in the order form/invoice (eg. flavour, design, message, candles, knife and cake topper).
  4. The recipient has to be at the venue during the two-hour delivery window. In the event where there is no one to receive the order after a 5 minute waiting period, the driver will bring the items back to the shop until further instruction from the customer.
  5. If the order has to be redelivered, an extra delivery fee will apply. If no slots are available, you may self collect your order during our opening hours by the next working day. Cakes that are not collected within 24 hours from the specified date and time will be discarded. No refunds will be made. 
  6. The rescheduling of delivery will be dependent on the availability of our driver. 
  7. All deliveries do not come with set-up of any kind, including the unboxing of the cake. Our drivers are only responsible for delivering the cake safety to the location. 
  8. In the event that instructions are given to us to leave the order outside the premises, we will not be responsible for the condition of the items after our driver has left .
  9. The person(s) receiving the cake is wholly responsible for checking and making sure that the order is correct and in good condition. If there are any issues with the order, they should be raised to the driver on the spot. 
  10. Subsequent disputes regarding the cake will not be entertained. 
  11. The complete address, inclusive of unit number and postal code must be provided. We will not be responsible if the order is delivered incorrectly due to any missing information. 
  12. Deliveries to Sentosa: A $5 surcharge applies. Please provide us with an entry QR code.
  13. There will be a $5 surcharge for deliveries to Hospitals.
  14. There will be a $3 surcharge for deliveries to malls.
