Terms & Conditions

Updates to our Terms and Conditions may take place from time to time. Your continued usage of the Website constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Please check this page before you place a new order.

STANDARD CAKES

  • Standard cakes orders should be placed at least 3 days in advance.
  • Urgent orders (less than 3 days in advance) may be accepted at the discretion of Bloomsbury Bakers.
  • Flavours are subjected to availability for urgent orders placed less than 3 days prior to the collection/delivery date
  • Full payment must be made before confirmation of an order. Standard cakes can only be ordered through our website or at our physical store.
  • Any changes/cancellation/refund requests made within 5 days to the collection date may not be accepted
  • Please check your order and ensure that the correct item has been selected before you proceed to checkout. We will not be held liable if the wrong item has been selected. Any changes to orders made via our website will be up to the discretion of Bloomsbury Bakers.
  • We reserve the right to accept or reject any order(s).

 

CUSTOMISED CAKES

  • Customized cake orders should be placed at least (2) weeks in advance
  • Urgent orders (less than 2 weeks in advance) may be accepted at the discretion of Bloomsbury Bakers. A late order surcharge of 30% may apply.
  • Flavours and designs are subjected to availability at the time of order.
  • Cancellation or changes to design and flavour less than 1 week to the collection date may not be approved.
  • Any last minute changes to an order may be subjected to a surcharge of at least 30%.
  • Full payment must be made before confirmation of an order.
  • Invoice sent to customers should be read carefully before payment. The order will be based solely on the details stated on the invoice. Any errors in the invoice must be highlighted to us before making payment so that we can amend them accordingly.
  • Do note expect us to replicate a design in its entirety.
  • Photos on the website are for reference only. Colours and design might differ slightly as everything is handmade.
  • Our bakers may choose to add or omit certain decorative elements based on their professional judgement.
  • Customised cake slots are allocated on a first come first serve basis based on the time payment has been made.
  • Slots will only be reserved after payment has been made.
  • Quotations given will be valid for (2) weeks from that day
  • We reserve the right to accept or reject any order(s).

 

DESSERT TABLES

BOOKINGS

  • Bookings should be confirmed with full payment made at least 3 week prior to the event.
  • A security deposit of $50 will be collected on top of the full charge for the Dessert Table set up.
  • Clients who damage or misplace our props, decoration items, display ware, cake stands , crates or any other items that belong to us will have their security deposit forfeited. Should the replacement value exceed the security deposit, the additional costs (payable within 3 days from the event date) will be charged to you.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or reject any orders at any time.  

 

LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS

  • We may be able to take in urgent bookings (less than (3) weeks) depending on our event calendar. Please contact us to check if slots are still available.
  • Late booking charges applies:
    • Less than (3) weeks/ (21) days prior to the event is subject to a 10% surcharge
    • Less than (2) weeks/ (14) days prior to the event is subject to a 20% surcharge
    • Less than (1) week/ (7) days prior to the event is subject to a 30% surcharge  

 

PROPER CHECKS WITH EVENT LOCATION

  • In the event that the event venue/location does not allow any set ups, we will not be held responsible and no refunds will be given.
  • Please ensure that the event venues allow third party vendors to set up at their premises.
  • Please inform us if your event location requires us to bring our identification with us in order to enter.  

 

DECOR AND STYLING

  • Images shared during the discussion process are purely for reference only. Props may not be exact.
  • If fresh florals are used, the type of flowers used will be dependent on the season and availability.
  • Props and display ware (cake boards, stands, crates etc) belong to Bloomsbury Bakers unless otherwise stated . Costs for any missing props or display ware will be borne by the client.  

 

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS

  • Changes to the event date/time/theme/dessert flavours may not be accepted after payment has been made.
  • Changes, cancellations and refund requests made after full payment has been made will be approved on a case by case basis based on the discretion of Bloomsbury Bakers.  

 

FAVOURS AND GIFTS

  • Gift boxes should be placed at least 2 weeks in advance.
  • Urgent orders (less than 2 weeks in advance) may be accepted at the discretion of Bloomsbury Bakers. A late order surcharge of 30% may apply.
  • Flavours and designs are subjected to availability at the time of order.
  • Cancellation or changes to design and flavours less than 2 weeks to the collection date may not be approved.
  • Full payment must be made before confirmation of an order.
  • We reserve the right to accept or reject any order(s).  

 

FOR STORE PICK UPS

  • All collections must be made before closing time. Orders that are not collected before we close for the day will be kept till the next working day for collection.
    • Weekday opening hours: 11am - 7pm
    • Weekend opening hours: 11am - 6pm
    • Closed on Mondays
  • Person collecting the cake and couriers engaged by the person who ordered, are responsible to check the condition of cake and whether it matches the information in the order form/invoice (eg. design, candles and toppers).
  • We will not be responsible for damages that occur after the item has left our premises.

 

FOR DELIVERIES

  • A two-hour delivery window is required. This is to take into account the traffic and our driver’s delivery schedule. Slots are on a first come first serve basis.
  • Recipient’s name and contact number will be required if the person that ordered will not be the one at the venue receiving the item.
  • If it is a surprise order, please indicate in the order form so as to not notify the receiver when the driver has reached the venue.
  • The recipient is responsible to check the condition of the cake and whether it matches the information in the order form/invoice (eg. design, candle and cake topper).
  • Recipient has to be at the venue during the two-hour delivery window. In the event where there is no one to receive the order, the driver will bring the items back to the shop until further instruction from the person that ordered. An extra delivery fee will be charged to re-deliver the items.
  • Reschedule of delivery will be dependent on the availability of our driver.
