Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering

3 Days (e.g. if you place your order on Monday, the earliest collection date is Thursday).

Standard cake orders can be placed on our website or at our store. We do not take orders over the phone. Full payment must be made before any order is confirmed/slot is booked.

2 Weeks.

Please drop us an email (orders@bloomsburybakers.com) for a discussion.

1-2 weeks depending on the quantity of the order.

You can either place your order directly on our website, or drop us an email (orders@bloomsburybakers.com) with your requirements and we will assist you from there.

We only sell our cakes in slices and tartlets off the shelves.

Our flavours are on rotation and we update our daily flavours on our Instagram and Facebook Stories every morning between 10-11am. Please check the list and give us a call (6299 3450) if you wish to reserve slices/tarts for a same day collection.

We only conduct discussions over email (orders@bloomsburybakers.com) so that every part of the discussion is recorded for clarity. It is also easier if everything is in one thread so that the possibility of missing out any details is minimised.

Yes of course!

However, our website only accepts a local billing address, so please input the recipient's delivery address as the billing address as well and you are good to go. Don't worry, we will not send the bill to your loved one.

Storage

All of our cakes and desserts are best eaten on the day of collection/delivery so that you can enjoy them at their best. We do not add any preservatives so it’s best to finish it as soon as you can. If not, leftovers can be kept for up to 2-3 days (including the day of collection), in an airtight container.

Fresh cream cakes are best eaten chilled. They can be left out of the fridge for a maximum of 1-1.5 hours depending on the weather.

Leftovers can be kept in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days (including the day of collection).

Buttercream cakes are best served at room temperature. Hence, we recommend you to take it out of the fridge for at least 1-2 hours before consumption. This is so that the buttercream and cake can soften before you cut into it.

It can be kept out in aircon room temperature for up to 4 hours.

Leftovers can be kept in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days (including the day of collection), but remember to take it out of the fridge for it to thaw before consumption.

Tarts - best eaten at room temperature (except for the speculoos flavoured tarts)

Brownies - best eaten warmed up

Inform us beforehand that you are only going to consume the cake the next day, especially if your cake has fondant decorations on it. Our staff will cling wrap the box for you so as to retain the cake’s freshness the best we can, and to prevent the fondant decorations from becoming sticky/melt slightly due to the condensation.

Do note that the cake will still not look as nice as it did on the day of collection/delivery so we always encourage you to consume it as soon as possible.

No we do not provide ice packs.

We are not able to reduce the sugar amount in our recipes on demand (like bubble tea). Adjusting the sugar amount in a cake recipe would require rounds of R&D as the amount of sugar in a cake affects not just the sweetness of the cake, but the texture as well.
